Is Online Gambling Legal in Newfoundland and Labrador?
Yes, on alc.ca. Newfoundland and Labrador was the third Atlantic province to add online casino games, after New Brunswick (2020) and Nova Scotia (2022). When it did, the province said residents already had access to “hundreds of online gaming sites, none of which are legal or regulated” — the reason for offering a regulated alternative. Players are not prosecuted for using those sites, but they have no provincial protection.

- Responsible-gambling tools including limits and self-exclusion; the province highlights Atlantic Lottery’s “healthy play” features.

Atlantic Lottery’s PROLINE is available online and in stores, including single-game bets. A shared Kambi-powered PROLINE sportsbook for Atlantic Canada, BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan is expected in 2027. See Pro-Line explained.
