Online Gambling in Prince Edward Island
For years Islanders were the only Atlantic Canadians who couldn’t play Atlantic Lottery’s online casino. That changed in 2026: PEI quietly opened alc.ca casino games to residents, the last of the four Atlantic provinces to do so. You must be 19.

Is Online Gambling Legal in PEI?
Yes, on alc.ca. The PEI Lotteries Commission conducts and manages gambling through Atlantic Lottery. Online lottery and PROLINE sports betting were available for years, but PEI blocked residents from ALC’s online casino until 2026. In July 2026 CBC reported that the casino was now open to people with a PEI address or phone number. The province explained it wants to shift players from illegal sites back to alc.ca.
