Online Gambling in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan was one of the last provinces to get a legal online casino. Since November 3, 2022, PlayNow.com/sk — operated by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) — has offered casino games, live dealers, poker and sports betting to residents aged 19+. SIGA’s exclusive right runs to 2029, so don’t expect an Ontario-style open market soon.

Is Online Gambling Legal in Saskatchewan?
Yes, on PlayNow. The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) regulates gambling under The Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act, 1997, and PlayNow SK is the only legally operated online gaming site in the province. International casinos that accept Saskatchewan players are not licensed here; players are not prosecuted for using them, but they have no provincial protection if a site refuses to pay.
How PlayNow Saskatchewan Came About
In September 2021 the province and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) agreed that online gaming would be run for the benefit of First Nations. The result launched on November 3, 2022:
- SIGA operates PlayNow SK;
- SaskGaming manages it;
- SLGA regulates it;
- it runs on BCLC’s PlayNow platform, like BC and Manitoba.
The agreement has since been amended to extend SIGA’s online exclusivity to September 2029. In 2025–26 PlayNow SK earned about C$31.6 million in gross gaming revenue — mostly from casino games — and had more than 59,000 registered players.

Online Casinos That Accept Saskatchewan Players
Some international casinos accept players from Saskatchewan. They are not licensed here — read the sections above first. We only list sites that pass our checks on licence, ownership, Interac and CAD, and real payout times.
We are still checking casinos for this list: licence, ownership, Interac and CAD support, and real payout times for Canadians. We only add a casino once it passes. Until then, see the official options in your province.
